Canadian Championship Dummy Roping

Join us in the 9th Annual Canadian Championship Dummy roping for kids aged 11 and under. At this year’s competition you will witness the following:

  • Each contestant has the chance to rope a dummy three times, if they catch all three times, they advances to the short go – the next round. In the short go, each category starts with one throw each.
  • If there is a miss, the contestant is eliminated, if there is a catch – they move on to the next round.
  • With each round, the dummy is moved further away from the ropers. The last roper left is the category champion!
  • Each category champion competes in a rope off to determine the overall champion who is awarded a saddle.
  • This event will be judged by Canadian Professional Rodeo team roping competitors.
