Northlands is pleased to once again host the Northlands Stock Dog Competition in conjunction with Farmfair International. This is atimed event where stock dogsmust run sheep through obstacles set up throughout the sales ring and finish by herding the sheep into the pen. The handler stands in the handlers circle until the last sheep exits the chute only communicating with their dog through whistle or voice

This open stock dog trial is approved by the United States Border Collie Handlers Association and the Alberta Stock Dog Association. With $2,500 in added prize money, the top five dogs after two rounds will advance to the finals which will be held as the pre-show to the Heritage Ranch Rodeo.
