Kid's Country

Bring the little ones to Kids Country! Mosey your way through miniature barns while learning about horses, sheep, pigs, dairy and cattle and more. Feeling restless? Spur into action and play in sand boxes, hop on an inflatable mechanical bull or wrangle your way up the rock climbing wall.

Also in Kid's Country is the Story Garden where children can sit and listen to the readings of quality children's literature themed around Alberta, farms past and present, farms and animals and food. Children's books will be read aloud while images are projected on a large screen.

The smallest cowboys and cowgirls will enjoy some boot stompin’ entertainment including Dan the Balloon Man and a magician and the inflatable mechanical bull.

Feelin’ thirsty? Saddle up to the Moo Bar where you can purchase chocolate milk and your very own miniature cow!  For just $5, you can purchase a paintable ceramic cow. Proceeds from the Northlands Cows for Kids program go towards funding agricultural scholarship programs.

There will also be some educational components as well! Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development, Canadian Cattle Identification Agency and Livestock Identification Services Ltd. have created an interactive educational experience to help explain the three pillars of Traceability to elementary school children.
